Sometimes, love has nothing to do with it. Sometimes, people grow apart. Sometimes, it was never meant to be in the first place. In these cases, it is not a matter of fault from either person. Sometimes, things cannot be, it’s as simple as that.

At some point you realize that some people can stay in your heart but not your in your life.

Whatever reason your relationship did not work out, separation and divorce is a significant life transition that can be alarming for everyone in your family. Each family member will have strong emotions and many questions about what the new “normal” will be.

How can separation and divorce counselling help?

People who go through a separation or divorce, often experience feelings of guilt, fear, anxiety, depression, grief and shame. This is completely normal. And when things get challenging, it’s okay to ask for some professional help.

At the very least, counselling can provide you with strategies to ensure that your divorce is achieved with minimal emotional damage. You can learn the coping skills you will need to work through the challenges ahead.

But working with a mental health professional can also help you gain a new perspective about yourself and the reasons behind the end of your marriage. With counselling you can learn more about what you require and desire from a relationship, and discover more about your own personal nature and characteristics.

Through counselling you can come to see this life transition as a moment for growth and personal development.

We’re here to help your family through this difficult transition.
