Let’s see if we’re a good fit…

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it.

Mental health means balancing caring for yourself, your children, feelings your emotions and developing the skills to cope with them.

Taking care of your mental health isn't selfish; it might just feel that way if you haven't made it a priority. After a breakup, one of the key moves for a parent is finding that sweet spot between self-care and helping the kiddos process everything. Sure, it's a common misconception that this journey is supposed to be a walk in the park—it's not. But, hey, nothing genuinely good ever is. It's about navigating the challenge with a balanced focus on your well-being and being there for your little ones

Here at Peachey Counselling, we offer a safe space where the seeds of healing can be planted, and a learning environment that promotes healthy co-parenting can start to thrive.

I bring both compassion and transparency to my role, working collaboratively with both parties to foster cooperation. My focus extends beyond crafting mere parenting plans; I strive to create practical and livable blueprints that contribute to the best possible childhood for your children.

I want you to know that I listen. I will always listen and ensure you feel heard, valued and safe.

I’m here for you.

Q&A

  • Reflecting on my own experience, my parents went through a separation when I was just 6 years old, and the legal proceedings continued until I turned 16.

I get that breakups are emotional roller coasters for parents, but the deal is, it shouldn't hijack your kids' childhood. Striking a balance between personal emotions and creating a stable, nurturing environment is key to fostering positive growth in your little ones.

  • Every issue comes down to communication breakdowns, no matter how complex, every solution improves with aligned communication expectations.

  • I am very child oriented and always ensure the best interest of the child are at the root of every discussion and decision.

It's easy to get caught up in hurt feelings, you're working with your ex, it's definitely not easy. I bring a calm and neutral vibe that has been successful for many co-parents.

  • Active listening, de-escalation, and thinking outside the box.

  • Having a growth-mindset and being child-focused.

  • What I find most fulfilling in my role as a family mediator is assisting parents in transitioning from addressing their relationship challenges to collaboratively finding solutions for co-parenting.

It's about guiding them beyond their couple-related issues and towards a constructive approach to shared parenting, ensuring a positive and stable environment for their children.
