“Co-parenting is not a competition. It’s a collaboration of two homes working together with the best interests of the child at heart.”

DR. ANNE BROWN

Co-parenting, sometimes called joint parenting or shared parenting, is a collaborative partnership taken on by parents who focus on the socialization, care and upbringing of the child(ren) for whom they share equal responsibility.

The co-parent relationship is not an intimate relationship between adults - it is a relationship that focuses on the needs of the child(ren). For those who are in the process of separation, or for those who already divorced, the shared custody of a child can be challenging - especially when co-parenting is greatly influenced by the emotions and interactions of each parent. This is where co-parent counselling can help.

“This is probably one of the most difficult challenges any parent could face - learning to love the other parent enough to make the children come first.”

IYANLA VANZANT

Why consider co-parent counselling?

“ Effective parenting has nothing to do with pointing our our faults and everything to do with working out solutions.”

L.R. KNOST
