Let’s see if we’re a good fit…
Don’t go on the journey of mental health alone, you will find help in another person’s perspective.
Mental health is not about being happy all the time and never sad. A mentally healthy person experiences a wide range of emotions, some of which are “negative.” The reality, however, is that all emotions serve a specific function. The difference might be that a mentally healthy person can use each emotion in a way that serves them, instead of being constricted by the emotion. Life will give us difficult emotional states, if we are mentally healthy we can adapt and take action toward our values.
For me, mental health is about living a life that aligns with your values. For most people, this means finding secure relationships, having healthy and appropriate emotions, and maintaining daily habits that create a life where you are thriving. Mental health is about responding with flexibility to the unexpected, and finding resilience when life becomes difficult.
Our sessions will give you a roadmap to better health. It begins by helping the client find clarity. What is your specific goal ? What habits do you need to get there ? Who do you have to be in your relationships ? What needs to change in order to find progress ? I help you think in a different way than you have previously. If your thinking remains the same, so will the result. So we aim to change your perspective on your thinking, your actions, and your relationships. We need to find the roadblocks that keep you stuck and find a way to move towards your goals.
I provide a calm, non-judgmental environment. I am warm and compassionate. Through our collaboration, we can help you clarify what needs to change in your life. Then we use psychotherapy tools and resources to help you overcome the challenges that stand in the way. I provide action based steps that we can work on together. You will find improved mental health through our sessions, with lasting change.
I’m here for you.
Q&A
-
In general, I am fascinated with psychology. I am curious how people think, how they find motivation, and how they can change. I like deep conversations that make a difference. Ultimately, I chose psychotherapy because I wanted to be of service to people who need help. I use my knowledge to reduce suffering in others.
-
I am interested in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I am curious about it because of personal experience. I like helping people with it because I can relate and have empathy. I also like that progress is clear. If compulsions are reduced, their is a sense of moving toward the goal and enjoying the benefits.
I am also interested in the different methods that can be used. For the anxiety component, mindfulness and ACT can be helpful. On the other hand, the practicality of ERP can help with the actual behaviour. I find OCD, and anxiety in general, to be interesting.

I am a deep listener. I am empathetic of the struggles that my clients face. I am sensitive to the emotions of others. I have respect for people of all cultures. I am humble, and flexible to change as required. I build relationships for the long term, and create the safety that is needed for trust. I communicate clearly so that we can understand one another.
-
I value clients that are open to share about the problems they face. I like when they express a genuine desire to be in therapy. I want the clients to be putting in effort to make the changes. When this occurs, a strong relationship is created. It is great when clients communicate their needs, and help my understand what they want from a therapist to bring change. When clients even want to work on themselves outside of therapy, that is even better..

I like connecting with people. I like listening to people at a deep level, and am curious to learn about them. I enjoying being warm and non judgmental. I find it fulfilling to see people have legitimate breakthroughs in their thinking and habits. I want to see them find more inner freedom..
